Jerry's motivation for making art is to share with others a moment, feeling or idea, he aims to provoke the viewer to reflect, aiming to induce a feeling, pose a question and lead to the viewer eventually having a realization.

Determined to become a great painter, much of Jerry's early work consisted of paintings and sculptures. However a particular set of circumstances gave him a glimpse into the potentials of moving image and sound: The summer before college, he signed up for a New York Film Academy program on Filmmaking. He explored the medium without restraint, acquiring an understanding of the workings of the medium. However it wasn't until exploring projecting moving images on a canvas during a RISD painting class on Pop Art that he realized that it was a more powerful medium for his purposes.

Jerry found that film is a powerful tool for appealing to human emotion, questioning conventions and spreading current and provocative ideas.

Since then, Jerry has made narrative and experimental short films in 16mm film, digital video and animation. His strengths are in directing, editing and postproduction. So far, his thesis film 'Good Intentions' had been selected to screen in the 35th Rhode Island International Film Festival and 15 Minutes of Fame Film Festival.
